The Rant: Part Two

Me and my husband were wanting to spend a nice night together before he left for Georgia two weeks before me. So we started to look at what movies were playing and realized that we hadn't seen the big billion dollar production: Avatar. We had already accepted that it was sci-fi (which is generally lame- but we were willing to give it a chance) and that it was most likely liberally slanted. What we had not prepared ourselves for was the THREE HOURS of liberal propaganda that we had to pay to have shoved down our throats! I am so sad that this is the movie that our country is tripping over themselves to see. It could not be more anti-american if it's lead roles were Bin Ladan and Castro. In fact- I propose that they rename it "We Hate Americans and All Their Blood Money Too."

****Side note: is there anything more annoying that a person sitting down RIGHT next to you in the theatre when there are dozens of other spots for them to sit? Yes, in fact, there is. How about when they sit right next to you... and crunch on their popcorn right in your ear and spill it all over you and get up and leave fifty times so you have to stand and say "oh Sorry" when you really want to trip them. Just sayin'****

So back to the Obama approved bull crap movie. So we're sitting there hearing about how Americans are so horrible for wanting their precious rocks (or whatever it was the evil army was after) and how military men are so nefarious that they will kill you with a smile. When it dawns on me. I have totally heard this story before. It's Disney's Pocahontas! Replace captain John Smith with Jake Sully- and there you have it. So for those of you who all of this is totally lost on... Avatar felt the need to illimunate two, of many many, things that liberals love to complain about. (1) we killed all the Indians for the riches of their land {how many years ago and I'm still paying for it?} and (2)the war in Iraq is strictly about oil. After two tedious hours passed, we were informed that we were about to be tortured with another hour of this nonsense. SO instead, we left and listened to good ole American loving country radio all the way home. But I bet I can guess how the last hour went. The army is coming after Jake and the clan who stole the airplane to save the blue people. Then, I'm betting either the female pilot or the scientist dies for the cause (because there always has to be a bleeding heart liberal marytr). Then... brace yourselves... in a futile attempt to save his malevolent plan, the Colonel is killed by the natives. And Jake saves the day. Ugh... Moral of the rant: Skip Avatar and read a book.

The Rant

So I'm starting to realize that their are two kinds of people in the world... smart people and extremely over-the-top dumb people. Hence: the Kay Jewlers sales team. All I wanted was to have my ring cleaned and to have it inspected. Basic right? Wrong. Apparently the women running the place had never seen, heard of, or operated a computer before. Because even though I had been to the place for cleanings and inspections many-a-time(not to mention buying the diamond there), these numbskulls could NOT find our names anywhere in their system. We sat there while they dinked around and finally never found our names. We eventually just had to leave because we were going to go see a movie. (see part two The Rant). Honestly... are we so politically correct that we cant ask these "mature aged" women if they can operate a computer? It was horrible. They need put bold print letters right on top of the application at all stores: NO COMPUTER SKILLS? NO JOB!

Just wanted to add a few pictures from the wedding day up here. It was a great day- other than the wind. We got married in the late morning and had a reception at the marshes home in Monroe. After the reception we headed to Vegas to fly to our honeymoon in Cozumel Mexico. It was AMAZING! We had the most beautiful suit that overlooked the ocean. We took a scooter around the better half of the island one day, went snokeling with the most tropical fish we've ever seen. (This was the day kyle lost his wedding ring in the Caribbean...)We even took kyle for his first horseback ride. But my absolute favorite part was seeing the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. Pictures cant even describe it there!

Feels so right sounds so good....

Just wanted to add my piece to start off our blog here. Shanae and I started dating in the summer of 2008, and we have done a ton of fun things together. We went to the Steve Miller Band that summer, as well as Carrie Underwood in the fall. We went fishing quite a bit, and we rode around on my motorcycle. We were married in August of 2009, and marriage has been a wonderful adventure for us. We love to spend time together, read together, watch shows together, and do things in the outdoors. We both love music, and I put the title of this blog what it is because that was one of our favorite country songs when we were first dating. We love suprising eachother, even with simple little things, like the other day shanae bought me a little camoflauge cover for my cell phone. Anyway we're super excited now about moving to Georgia to work for the summer, and we are looking forward to updating our blog about everything we experience while we are there.
